  Who believes in Ghosts?

  i watched a movie on tv the other night called "the others" with nicole kidman.

  it got me thinking about ghosts.

  of course, my jw thinking automatically kicks in and tells me that its.........come on, you all know the answer.......demons.

  Yes, but not as much today as in the past. Consider the middle ages- Galileo as an example. He had to retract his statements on the earth revolving around the sun, to save his life, from the religions of his day. I feel that if religion did not have the influence that it did in the past--- we would be hundreds of years more scientifically advanced than we are today. Live long and prosper....Spock

  i am not a jehovah witness however i'm ver interested in jw doctrine.

  i consider myself somewhat of a scholar.. i first attempted to get my questions answered by having jw's come to my home.

  however, i was most disappointed because they were too busy trying to recruit me than trying to answer my questions.

  Sunscapes--- Genesis 6 Giants, Yes I read the book 3 months ago-an excellent read.. But did not agree with all the statements in the book. You know as well as I do that you don't need to be a mason to become a JW....Also, if all the nephilim were destroyed during the flood, How could their genes have survived to future generations---- and why no giants in our day...   Has onyone ever read the book of Enoch-- Although it is not part of the bible ,,, It is quoted in the book of Jude.-- Therefore the jews of 2000 yrs ago must have been familiar with it. In the 22nd chapter on Enoch it tells were the souls and spirits of men go when they die. It also names the leaders of the angels who came down and sinned with the daughters of men. A very interesting read.. Live long and prosper... Spock

  i have had two very interesting yet weird experiences in the last couple of years, and would like some opinions on them.. i had a customer come into my store about 1 1/2 years ago.

  long story will be cut short.

  as we are talking, he says, "you are a good man, you care about people.

  Have you ever visited "QoutesJehovah'sWitnesses.com" ?? There you will find written by the Faithful and Discreet Slave class an assortment of lies and contradictions of the last 100 years.... How or why anyone would put themselves in subjection to them is beyond me. Live long and prosper...Spock

  X 'Hovahs Who Still Believe

  caught inbetween the wt doctrine and being "worldly", x 'hovahs live a strange life indeed.

  sampling what the world has to offer, yet remaing loyal to wt doctrine is the dichotomy that is the loyal x 'hovah.. my friend, let's call him "gomer", is such a person.

  undoubtedly bothered by this situation, gomer refuses to delve into the world of the truth about the "truth".

  there are some interesting views especially about the demise of the organisation.. i can't help feeling that there is a guru-esque style about it but i found it interesting.. anyone else?

  I am new.

  ok everyone...i am new.. i don't know what to say....just hello.. i am a disfellowshipped jehovah's witness...which maybe one day i will get in detail about....but right now it's still too painful.. besides if i talk about it i feel like i am talking bad about people or hindering jehovah's spirit with others.

  i realy try to shy away from speaking badly of people...even if they hurt me.. what i believe in my heart is no one can truely hurt you if your standing with the creator is good in his eyes.they in reality hurt only themselves,because they hinder thier relationship with our maker.. i do not like to talk bad about any religious group realy because, i think what if jehovah some how aproved of them and then i am introuble!.

  i can't remember where the scripture is but it is about the apostles and the advice was to let them go....and if they were from god then you know....but if they weren't then it would end...thier preaching and basically god would take care of them.. i feel jesus could say the things he did of religious leaders because,well.....he is th son of god and these people claimed to represent his dad.

  What you are feeling is probably guilt. This is exactly what they want. Remember "BY THEIR LOVE YOU WILL KNOW THEM" .... I always thought they were more into control than love.. No one is perfect and Christ said forgive up to 77 times. The witnesses do not do this. Live long and Prosper! Spock

  i mean, i run a business (or three) and if i put the effort into promoting my businesses that the wbts does, i would be a billionnare!

  I'm sure most people have heard of pyramid schemes to make money. As far as I know they are illegal in most states, because the people who start the scheme are the only ones to make any money. I think the Watchtower is based on this type of pyramid scheme and should be banned. Spock
